FROM GIRLS TO LADIES...

Girl, just because he whispers in your ear and calls you beautiful does not mean that he respects you. Just because he buys you gifts and flowers does not mean that he loves you, or even respects you in the least bit. Learn to respect yourself. Some people will do anything to get what they want out of you, and there you go, giving IT to him. Learn to respect and love yourself first.

Don't get me wrong. I was there once. All I wanted to hear was, "I love you."  It didn't matter to me who it came from. I just wanted to hear it. I had no self- respect, no self-esteem, and no self-love. Where did that lead me? It lead me to lot of disappointments. It lead me to men who cared nothing about me. All they wanted was what was between my legs. Did that mean that they loved me or even cared about me? NO! Did that mean that they even respected me? NO! Respect was that last thing on their agenda.

See, it's like this! IF YOU DON'T RESPECT YOURSELF, LOVE YOURSELF, CARE FOR YOURSELF, YOU CAN'T EXPECT SOMEONE ELSE TO DO IT!! They just won't. The process begins with you. YOU ARE THE PRIZE! Always remember that. You are a gem.

How do you earn that respect? How do you dress? Do you dress in a manner that portrays being a lady or does your breast hang our for all the world to see. Are your shirts so short that we get to see your belly button and in the indentations that sits on the top of your behind. Is your dress so tight that men don't have to wonder what is underneath because its already visibly outlined for all to see? Is your skirt so short that the whole world can see what lies betwixt your thighs. THIS SHOULD NOT BE!  Begin to Dress with some class and then you will see a difference in the type of men that you attract.

How do you earn that respect? Young ladies should not be heard using all types of profanity in their language. IT'S NOT CUTE! It's degrading! Talk like you got some sense! Go read a dictionary or something. Increase your vocabulary and learn to speak intelligently.

How do you earn that respect? Carry yourself in a manner that shows dignity and integrity. Do you always speak loudly when unnecessary? Is your hair done at all times? Do you act foolishly in public or do you act like you have been taught manners? Do you even respect others? When in compromising situations, do you ALWAYS seem to lose your cool?

Respect yourself. Love yourself. That's all I'm saying. When you begin to carry yourself like a lady, people will begin to respect you as such! Until then, don't complain!

What Will You Say?!

Happy New Year Everyone,
I haven't written in a while, but that doesn't mean I don't have anything to say....here it is

We go through this life acting like time is on our side, acting like we don't have anything to do, and like life is not privileged. Why? We treat each other any kind of way. We talk down about each other to each other and ain't doing nothing to help each other. There will come a time that we will have to answer for this behavior! What will you say?! Will you say, "Well, I was about to...?" What were you "about" to do? Why haven't you done "it". None of us are excluded. Not even me.....

What will you say?! We are around here living life as though tomorrow is promised, like there is no work to be done.Walking around in our new clothes, new shoes, fresh cuts, and hair do's, but what have you done? Are you only looking out for you or have paid attention to your fellow brother or your fellow sister just to see if are in need of anything that you are able to give. What will you say?!

What will you say?! Ask yourself.Question yourself! What can I do? Am I living so that I might live again. Am I doing what is required of me to do? Do you even KNOW what is required of you to do? What will you say?!

See, this life is not about self-gratification and religious acts of nothingness that are only performed so that men might see us and applaud us for just living a "good, full life" That is not it! You had better wise up because when that time comes, What will you say?!
